Discover more about loose leaf tea

Loose leaf Assam tea offers a richer, more intense flavour than bagged tea. As the leaves expand, they release their full range of malty, earthy notes, giving you a more satisfying and complex tea experience. Whether you’re new to loose leaf tea or simply upgrading from tea bags, our Assam is an easy yet bold introduction to this world of flavour.

Brewing loose leaf tea is easier than you think! Just measure 1 teaspoon of tea per cup, steep in hot water for 3-5 minutes, and enjoy a strong, malty cup of Assam. For a richer flavour, steep longer; for a lighter taste, steep for less time. Assam is perfect with milk, creating a creamy, full-bodied tea experience, or you can enjoy it black for a more robust taste.

If you’re transitioning from tea bags or just getting into loose leaf tea, Assam is a bold, straightforward choice. Its strong flavour and easy brewing process make it an excellent option for anyone looking for a satisfying, energising cup without any fuss.

About the Assam tea region.

Our Assam loose leaf tea is from the Phulbari tea gardens, dating back to the 1890's. The Assam area is located in East India, between Burma, Bangladesh, Bhutan and China.

Assam is the most important and grandest growing region because it produces nearly half of all India's tea.

India has the famous Chai Blend that uses Assam to produce the spiced, milky tea.
