Tubs, Packets & Loose Leaf Tea

All about our tea packaging

Choosing the right packaging to hold your loose leaf tea is something we've worked really hard to get right.

We're all about reducing waste and being plastic free and ensuring we don't have an impact on the environment. But most importantly keeping your loose leaf tea in the best condition, protecting the flavour and being easy to use and recycle.

Tea Tubs

These tubs are made of cardboard, great to reuse aswell as recyclable, the label is also recyclable. If you are local to our Newark teashop we can refill the tubs while you wait.

Many of our tea tubs get reused as pen pots and plant pots, let us know how you reuse yours.

Tea Packets

The latest change to our packaging are the tea packets, these are made with a layer of paper coated with a special material that creates a barrier against water vapor and oxygen while allowing the packaging to be fully recyclable.

Available in all sizes, these packets are great for refilling your tea caddies. The bigger packets are also the most economical way to by your favourite loose tea and the small 50g packets are great for trying new teas.

The tea packets are heat sealed and can't be resealed by you once opened. The best way to keep the tea fresh is to fold over the top and use a clip to keep closed. Alternatively decant into a tea caddy.

We're always looking to improve

Packaging is always evolving. As more sustainable materials become available that still keep tea fresh, we'll continue looking for ways to improve without compromising on quality.
